This week in Ladybirds Class we…
- We baked our own gingerbread men and decorated them working on counting out the buttons.
- We made gingerbread scented dough and had fun exploring the texture and smell. We also used Christmas cutters to make pretend biscuits for Santa and his elves.
- This week we have focused on the story ‘The gingerbread man’ learning refrains from the story, gingerbread men craft and counting out buttons to match a number.
- We took part in a Christmas threading activity, working on our fine motor skills to push the string through and pull it out from the other side.
- Had fun singing ‘5 little speckled frogs’ using props to act out the frog jumping into the pool.
- We explored different textures during a snow ball tuff tray with the elves.
- Worked on our hand– eye coordination during a Christmas tipping and pouring activity. We also used tweezers to count out the bows into our containers.
- The children used coloured/ scented playdough to make ice creams.
- The children had fun decorating the tree in the ladybirds class and decorating their own baubles to put on.
